I have a 1954 TR2 which was originally Ice Blue. Some of the original paint
remains and the colour reminds me more of Sea Foam Green than anything Blue. I
will keep it the original color when resprayed, but nothing looks better than
a Black TR2 (IMHO).
The car is such a classic, any colour you are considering will flatter it.
However, probably very few have elected to respray Ice Blue unless it was the
original colour. The same is probably true of Apple Green, which I have read
from several sources was not offered until the TR3A range of cars.
The original colours which were available to pre TS 1200 cars were: Ice Blue,
Geranium, Black, Pearl White, and Olive Yellow (which Moss describes as
"awful"). Post TS 1200 cars, but still in the TR2 range, could have been
Signal Red, BRG, Black, Pearl White and Geranium.

Both my TR2 and TR3 were originally Pearl White, although none of the
original paint is left on either. Pearl White is slightly off white but not
like Old English White which always struck me as being a bit to the yellow
side. Ice Blue is nothing like a Sky Blue. There is a fellow out here in LA
who has an early TR2 (1953 manufacture) which is Ice Blue. It has been
restored but he had the paint mixed to match the original paint on the car. He

1954. Possibly the oldest originally owned TR. Ice Blue was one of the
"designer" colors that Triumph used on the TR2s. It is really more to the
green than blue. Imagine a very muted mint green leaning towards the blue. It
