My BMHIT certificate shows three keys and the numbers match my keys (except
the ignition key which is not numbered), so it all appears to be original.

There may have been a change in 1975 or your TR6 may have been changed
using the VB kit that was mentioned earlier.

The advantage of having a separate key for the glovebox and boot is that
possessions can be secured when the vehicle is given to someone else to
drive (not that I do if I can avoid it).
