     Cliff - FWIW, I purchased the stock Woodhead replacement shocks when I 
     restored my Mk I Spitfire, and if I had to do it again (and I still 
     might come to think of it) I would order the Konis or the Spax.
     
     Yes, they are pricey compared to the Woodheads, but I am very 
     disappointed in the Woodheads.  The words "mushy", "soft", "flacid", 
     "weak", "gelatinous" and, oh yeah, "worthless" come to mind.  Even if 
     money is tight, I would really recommend that you not skimp on the 
     shocks.  When it comes to shocks, you get what you pay for........
