Martin,

What Barry suggests is good, but for ease of use, I prefer
hemostats to hold the pin. The clamping action makes it
easier to hold, plus you can use the hemos for many other
things when you are done.

I have about 6 pairs of hemos that I use in electronics
as well as mechanics. My favorite for the pin drop is the
longest pair that I have.
