Gary and list-

You asked about the flat black on the TR6 body.

6 Pack publishes a magazine and answered that question in a 1994 issue. The
article includes a description/diagram of where the color is to be applied
around the trunk/rear valance area. They recomend Dupli-Color DA1603
"semi-gloss black" in a spray can or Deltron satin black with flattener
(DX685) when spraying with a gun.

I know some controversy exists on whether all cars had black painted below
the chrome strip beneath the doors. I have seen cars with black paint as on
the rear valance, cars with rough textured black paint (like undercoating),
and cars with only body color. Owners of all three types have vigerously
claimed each to be original. When doing my restoration, I opted for the flat
black treatment like the paint on the rear valance. May well be wrong
however! Anyone know?

Hope this helps.
