While I have the head off my '6, I am upgrading the cam with a Crane
cam. It has a very similar grid to the S2.. My problem is I don't want
to wait 4-5 weeks for new lifters tobe back ordered . So, can I have
my old ones reground? They only have about 4000 miles with no cupping,
or pitting. My brother-in-law a DPO :-), but still a nice guy, says he
used to do this in 60/70's with domestic variaties. I have always just
used new ones and am kind of leery about regrinding them. I also have
about 20 used lifters from previous transplants, could I select the 12
best and have them reground or are they basically worthless?
