Moss sells the special mandrell. It really could be made by a local machine
shop, theirs is made of nylon. I bought one for my TR-3 rebuild this winter.
If you promise to send it back when you are finished I will send you mine; I
won't be needing it for a while.
At $30 or so, I would suggest replacing the aluminum seal pieces, just for
insurance. People on the list have said good things about Moss' rear seal
"modernising" kit. It replaces the magic scroll with a rubber seal. I
didn't have the guts to permanently alter my crank so I could install it, and
it costs almost $100.
