The word I get is that the stainless steel hoses swell less under pressure
than the stock hoses. This means there is less sponginess in the brake feel.
The swell less than hard steel brake line so you wouldn't want to use the
hose in the entire system, however.
What is the "whip test"? All sorts of naughty things come to mind but I'm
sure that all are wrong. -)
I put stainless hoses on my TR6 after I rebuilt my brakes and switched to DOT
5 (silicone) fluid. The word is that DOT 5 gives an increased spongy feel to
the pedal. I haven't noticed any sponginess in my brakes, however. Maybe
the stanless hoses compensated for the DOT 5 fluid.(??)
What ever. (An american colloquialism)
