Jeff,

I forgot to mention that Allard had a DeDion rear end concocted from Ford parts 
in
their 1950's J2.  That's the all aluminum body with a boxed Ford frame and a 
split
beam front axle.  Pretty neat for 1950.  Oh, did I mention the Cadillac engine 
(or
Ford flat head).  Now let me think.  Who else was it that took English coachwork
and American drive line and motors and married them with a big hammer? 14 years
later.

My panhard rod has bushings on both sides of the mounts.  Can't see why being in
tension, or being in compression, because of switching sides of the fixed end 
would
make any difference.  What is it about the MkII that makes it "right" and all 
the
others "wrong"?
