You could have bit of crud in the fuel line that drifts around. After running
for a while, it drifts down the line with the gas, until it reaches the carb or
fuel pump
or whatever, when it clogs the passage. After sitting for a while,
it drifts back towards where it came from, allowing fuel to pass for a while
again.
Do you have the fuel pump with the lever? If so, disconnect the fuel line from
the downstream carb, and rapidly pump a lot of gas through the line,
like 16oz or so. (Collect it in some container instead of letting it
pour over the ground, and be careful!) Make sure the gas continues
to flow unrestricted.
