Hi Chris,
The early Spitfire hardtop rear seal is another "Rarebits4classics" product
scheduled for delivery around the end of the year. I expect to have the first
samples for test fitting around the end of this month. This will be a
continuous section to be cut to length. Estimated cost will be around 25 pounds
sterling.
The chrome finisher is the same extruded plastic section as used on the front
seal. It is possible that very early cars had anodised aluminium trims as on
the earlier Herald 1200, but I've not seen any of this type. Standard-Triumph
moved to the plastic trim for most applications from 1963.
