I just ran a compression check and the results are as follows: YESTERDAY 1. 120 - plugs light biscuit 2. 125 - plugs light biscuit 3. 145 - plugs light biscuit 4. 145 - plugs light biscuit TODAY 1. 0 - plugs oiley 2. 0 - plugs oiley 3. 160 - plugs darker biscuit, some oil on plug threads 4. 160 - plugs darker biscuit What do you lot make of that? I would guess that somehow I have 2 broken pistons or piston rings, but why would 2 cylinders show the same symptoms? Incidentally it was cylinder 3 that the valve dropped on to a few months back. cheers John HotJobs - Search Thousands of New Jobs http://www.hotjobs.com /// spitfires@autox.team.net mailing list /// or try http://www.team.net/cgi-bin/majorcool /// Archives at http://www.team.net/archive |
