Hi all, just thought I would ask anyone that has an opinion on what is the
best solution to my problem. I have some chrome (he said jokingly) bumpers
for my MkII
and the chrome is very dull, in fact I would say impossible to bring back a
shine. I think that it has been subjected to a sand blasting in its time and
then left. Now I would like to know what I can do to them to make them look
reasonable.
First thing I should say is I cant afford to have them re-chromed, second is
that I do have the facility for sandblasting what chrome there is off them,
and thirdly I will be getting some chrome ones in the future (maybe a couple
of years in the future)
So.........do I sandblast and paint, and if it is paint ...what sort....and I
do know that colour is a personal choice, what I mean is what type of paint
(Chrome effect + lacquer) (normal Silver etc) Thanks for your
time............

Happy Spitting...................John
Spit Mk II (1966) in bits..or as some would say (in restoration)
