Absolutely agree. If one was to put in a higher horsepower engine with more
torque and expect to apply all that it had through the spit differential and
axle system, crunch. Kinda like that spit on ebay a while back with the
mustang 5.0 litre and stock spit rear that went for, what? $15,000, cruch and
cha-ching. On the other hand, one might expect to have a v6 swap and still be
wise enough to know not to give it all it has got. Otherwise, tub the rear
end and put in a shortened ford rear end. Example: Moris Minor Woody with a
2.3 ford Turbo and a tubbed rear end that was all tire with a differential
squished in the middle. Showy to some but couldn't have been a nice driver.
