I've used Kroil many times over the years in connection with restoring old
trolley cars. Best stuff I've ever seen.

I found this to be amazing stuff. Comes in an orange
aerosol can. More expensive than WD-40, but works
many times better.
The upper and lower halves of my steering column were
rusted together. I tried heat, I tried WD-40. I beat
on it. I borrowed some Kroil from the maintenance shop
at work (they swear by it). Let if soak for a couple
hours, grabbed w/ vise grips and started wiggling back
and forth and it broke loose. I've never seen it the
common retail stores. Try an industrial supply house
or search the web...
