Press on, Fred. I've had my Mk III for 8 years and it only needed slight
fix-up work. I just never "found" the time, so it sat in my garage
untouched. Oh, I bought a few parts, like we all do. But after discovering
this list and because my son is now 3 years away from driving age, I am
"finding" the time. Not that my son gets the car when he's 16. No way.
But we can work on it together and he will get to drive it, sometimes.
Every time I do drive it, even a few blocks...it turns heads. Too much
power for a sixteen year-old, IMHO.
