Alan,
I assume you've removed the cotter pin:) Other than that it's purely a
matter of applying enough torque. Whoever last put it together, if they
did it right, applied around 85 ft. lbs of torque. Figure on an extra 40
lbs to get it off (does anybody know why it takes more torque to remove
stuff? I understand corrosion, but this seems to happen without any
visible corrosion too).
