Spit fuses

Hi Spitphiles.  Just blew my first fuse (re-wiring the map light... don't 
really know what I grounded on, but the sparks were sure pretty).  Hobbs is a 
77 Spit 1500, so easily found the fuse box on the driver-side bulkhead.  
Bottom fuse had blown.  Interestingly, it's a genuine Lucas fuse, and has a 
piece of paper in with the fried filament that says "17 amps continuous LUCAS 
35A".
The only fuse I had handy was a Buss SFE20.  What fuse should I put in there? 
 Haynes manual says all 3 should be 35 amp.  
Also, Haynes says there should be 2 spares.  I didn't see any.  Where are the 
spares stored?  Thanks, Scott (& Hobbs- 77 Spitfire, daily driver)
