Mike, with a lot of the Girling tandem master cylinders, it's rather
difficult (ok, it's a pain in the bu**!) to "prime" the cylinder via the
normal bleeding routine. The "bench bleeding" takes care of that and often
saves many pints/liters of largely nonrecyclable brake fluid.
