Dean,
You say your Spit is a '68.  I believe it was some time during the 60
production year when they changed from the 7 pound to the 13 pound
caps.  That might be your problem.  

And I don't see your Spit listed in the Database, or I could see what
your commission number is.  The changeover point according to John
Thomason was at FD48,653.
