Mark,
It isn't quite that easy.  The mainshaft is different between the two
units, so you have to find not only an OD unit, but also the OD
mainshaft to transfer the gear set onto.  Then it bolts right up.  After
that, you need wiring, the new shifter with switch, an adapter plate to
bolt it onto and a shortened drive shaft.  

I guess "easy" just like beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
