Yes, the spelling is correct. This is VERY true here in NW Oregon too. I
took my daughter's '82 Trans Am to Maaco for their "Top-of-the-line" paint
job. The car's existing paint job was fairly weathered and essentially shot
and the Maaco job was only marginally better than what it was! Well, at
least the job was free courtesy of some dude who backed into her in a
parking lot and his insurance company. We got all the bodywork done plus a
complete paint job - thank you Allstate. I think Maaco is where many
aspiring auto painters start out and get their feet wet. Unfortunately they
never seem to learn to swim!

Hi Curtis. I can tell you one place not to take your Spit. Macco. I think
that's how you spell it. They are a national chain. I made the mistake of
taking my Trans Am there one year ago and they did a terrible job. They
didn't take the old paint off, didn't even rough it up, left all the rust,
paint is bubbling and peeling everywhere. There were runs in it. Oh yeah the

paint started peeling two weeks after I got it back. Didn't take it back for

two reasons. 1: I moved to Wisconsin. 2: I swore they would never touch
another one of my cars again. They have cheap prices and they do cheap work.
