Well, based on all the suggestions (thanks again, everyone!) there are quite
a few things for me to check. I know there is something shorting out where
the wiring comes out of the fusebox, so I'll start there. Only bad news (if
you want to call it that), is I'm not sure when I can start because I just
got a call that said the shop had removed the body from my TR3B, and want to
know when I can pick up the frame. I have to fix up the frame and rebuild
the suspension while they do some welding to the floorboards and trunk floor
and other general body work (yes, there is a limit to how many skills I can
try to acquire in a given year). I'll have to work on the Spitfire to
relieve the inevitable frustration I expect to run into with the TR3
suspension. I must admit it's a pretty sad state of affairs when you use
wiring problems on one LBC to relieve the frustration involved with the
other!!

I'll keep everyone posted as to what I end up finding, and thanks again for
the great advice and support.

Dave
