does the phrase "original Lucas electronic ignition" mean anything to you?!?
<G>... what you describe is common to <any> brand of ei as it fails. My TR6
with a Lumenition (years ago) acted much the same. A good friend's spitfire
(78) just performed the same electronic slacking and a new xr 700 ignition
kit solved all.... and then some.
Please remember that this failure is of an intermittent nature - what you
have received are just warning signs of a vehicular heart attack.
