Wayne:
Didn't see anything at either site about warranty (or maybe I didn't look
closely enough)? Reconditioned heads are O.K. if they're done right
(magnafluxed for cracks, new guides, seats and springs). I've always
thought aluminium heads were best suited for 'real' high performance
(racing) applications but I'm sure others on the list may differ with me.
I agree that 450 HP may be a little agressive, depends on what the rest of
your drivetrain is set up to handle. For most towing (unless you're
constantly in the mountains) it would seem to me that 350 HP would be
enough.
Hope you get other opinions from list members, I think it's always the best
to get varying information and make a good informed decision. Please share
with the rest of the list what you decide to do and how the whole project
went. Good luck!!
