I have on in my '48 with 3.90 gears. Its seems just right to me; brisk
acceleration and able to keep up with interstate traffic. Gas mileage is
improved, but no 235 is great. I get near 20 MPG with the OD. I wanted it
to keep from getting run over from behind. I have mine hooked up with a
switch and relay for the solenoid and a T-handle cable for the mechanical
engage. I can provide more details if you like. I love mine. FYI, I went
to a swap meet this past weekend and saw no less than 3 of these units for
sale. Prices ranges from $175-$225. Good luck.
