o;?Great ride by Dawson last week-end. I have to apologize that we ended up
ahead of the caravan ( needed gas in Healdsburg) and sat at a separate table.
During the week I visited HOPMONK TAVERN in Sonoma, and discovered from the
owner Dean Biersch (think co-founder of Gordon Biersch Brewing Co) that they
have OSH on draught ! He gave me a sample in a to-go glass, and an invitation
to bring the NOBCC back there sometime. See www.hopmonk.com, there is another
location in Sebastopol which I have to check out.
I would like to organize something, perhaps in May. Ron mentioned Mt Veeder
Road whilst we were talking b should be no Napa cops there? There seems to
be a movement for a picnic, and that could not be at Hopmonk. So is the group
interested in a ride to a bpubb-like destination for a lunch and a pint in
the British tradition, sometime soon?.
If so, I will arrange a date and organize for a bcar-showb reservation in
Hopmonkbs parking lot. Dean says they have hosted the Porsche club before
(known as slumming it by real Brit car fans).
Meanwhile I have to make another quick trip to the UK late March so will be
forced to drink real ale again......oh well.
See you all again soon .
