Hi guys,

It's like its my birthday again! My Rover SD1 3500 inlet manifold came back
from the machine shop after a nice job of welding and machining - it is now
almost identical to the original factory manifold. Now for the finish. The
powder coating place warned me that the manifold would probably get too hot
and the coating would not last (their experience on a different type of
engine) and someone else has warned me that the manifold does not get hot
enough for heat resistant paint to harden properly!
Now what? I'd like to hear from anyone who has applied a coating or paint
that has lasted a couple of years.

TIA,

Frank van Dalen
