Powder coats can withstand temps to 400 deg F.  I couldn't see how the
manifold could get that hot with water passing through it.  Not even
my brothers air-cooled Porsche reaches a head temp that high.  I'd go
with powder coating.  It is very durable, and comes in many colors.
