Hi All. New guy here. Just brought home a '54 TF (1250) that has been in
storage way too long. Removed carbs for rebuilding and noticed in Moss
catalog that a spacer is shown between the carb flange and the intake
manifold. This spacer was AWOL on my car....is it really supposed to be
there, or has Moss got it wrong? If it is supposed to be there, has anyone
run without the spacer? I ask because there is near 'bout zero clearance
between the air cleaner cover and the cowl without the spacer.

Question "B"...Authentically speaking, are the fuel tank retaining straps
supposed to be body color or chrome plated? I bought and read "Original MG
T Series", and still don't know. Thanks, Larry TF 3013. Central Florida
