Just an FYI here. I discovered that half of the sump bolt holes in the block 
go all the way through the lip. One could replace the short 5/16 SAE bolts 
that the DPO used with longer ones that go all the way though. Then just use 
nuts on the ends. Not pretty, but mechanically sound. This can save a little 
money on the Helicoils. Just remember not all the holes are this way.
