DrMayf, I use an air driven thin cutoff wheel with the hose held in a vise. .
First I wrap with tape. I've used both masking and electrical with good
results. I then clean out the hose with a Q tip. Next I put a little oil
around the inside of the fitting. Place one side of the hose in the fitting
and carefully work the rest in. I use my thumb nail for this. I lean up
against a work bench in a kneeling position to get plenty of leverage. I twist
back and forth while pushing the hose in. It USUALLY works. Good luck, you'll
need it. Terry Hunt, Guam Bomb, #743
