Tony, tell us more about early Corvette FI. A local speedshop guy had a
'60 or so long ago and he said it was good, but had a fatal flaw as a
daily driver. That was that the mixture control was not sharp enough,
with the result that it ran a little too rich in traffic driving, and
ran fine, BUT the problem was that every Saturday morning you had to
change the plugs, because they would be starting to foul. He stated
that it was a couple more years after that before Chevy could overcome
this problem, and, everybody knew it at that time.
Could you comment on this report, one way or the other? He said there
was no adjustment or control the owner, or anybody else, could do for
this on the early FI. Cheers Bill
