Bob Yule at Autofarm has a rebuilt exchange system for the rocker shaft
assembly (both 4 and 6 cylinder engines) that is very economical and is
excellent. From what I understand the shaft is built up a few thousandths to
a larger diameter and reground. The original arm bushings and pedestals are
machined out to suit the new size, each arm is checked and resurfaced to
remove any cupping wear on the valve stem end, and everything is
reassembled.
I've used these on my own and many customer's engines over the years with
complete success.

Hi All,
I am building up a new head assembly to later be installed on my BJ8 engine.
I intend to rebuild the rocker assembly myself. I want to buy an adjustable
reamer for the rocker bushings. Does anyone know the diameter of the shaft?
At this time I don't have the used assembly that I bought on ebay, and I am
not home to measure the shaft on my car. Can anyone help with providing the
shaft diameter?
