A friend is trying to restore a set of Bugeye side curtains & we have a few
questions. You will probably not be surprised to hear that the new set of
Plexiglas windows do not fit. They are approx. 1/2" larger than the originals.
What is the recommended method of trimming them? Also, the new set of felt
channel lining does not fit. The felt is so thick that after it is installed
there is no room for the Plexiglas. Was the original lining felt & was it a
"U" shaped insert? Does anyone sell the correct material? Does anyone know who
makes the reproduction side curtains that are currently available? Does anyone
in the USA rebuild these?
