I agree with Paul, go for it. I was at about the same point with my car
years ago and didn't do the "full-meal deal." Always regretted it in
retrospect.
Just realize that taking a car apart is quicker than putting it back
together, because you can easily take the attitude of "What the heck, I'm
going to replace this part anyway" and brutalize it to get it off, but when
you start putting it back together, you really want it to be right. Paul is
right, it is more fun and more satisfying, it just takes longer. But when
you get done, you won't regret it.
