Hello Eric,

There are drain plugs in the floorboards for letting any standing water out of
the car.  I seriously doubt you'd ever need them in California, but if bad
goes to worse, find a covered shelter, cover it with a tarp, or just enjoy the
freak storm.  Everything WILL dry out eventually.

I'd say take the chance without the top and, if the gods don't like you, we
could really use the rain!!
