That's correct. If you go to a negative offset wheel, you'd have to flare or
cut the
outside of the rear fenders to clear it. I have 185/70-14's on 14x6 0 offset
wheels now
and they rub on the inside of the outer lip of the rear fender without rolling
the lip up.
Once you roll the lip they work fine. The stock Later Roadster steel wheels
have, IIRC,
somewhere around a +12mm offset - Anyone know for sure?
If you go too positive on offset (like FWD wheels which are around +38-40mm) or
you go too
wide, you'll rub the leaf springs.
