Andrew,

I did the polishing route with my carbs, valve cover, etc. I used a
multispeed Craftsmen 6" bench grinder for use with Eastwood's expandable
wheel and an 8" 3/4 HP grinder for use with the buffing wheels. I used
wheels of various widths and types and it was messy and required a lot of
work to do right.

I used the expandable wheel w/medium sandpaper to get a hard cut to get rid
of casting marks and then used a finer grit to make it smoother. I then used
emery on yellow spiral wheels to get a good surface and then a looser buff
with rouge to get the final polishing done.
