All,
I drove Roman Rist's 1966 1600 and will agree that off the line his car is
faster than my 67 2000 Solex. The Solex powered engine and the different
gearing on the 2000 model make for great top end power, but off the solexes
are sluggish. They ARE fun over 5000 rpm though...
Vic Laury drove my car and said he also ejoyed the power of the solexes at
high rpms. I enjoyed driving his car too. TOTALLY dialed in and fast.
