Greetings,
I'm into uncharted territory here!!!
I've helped friends pull their engines, but I've never done it myself, that
is until this past weekend. I borrowed a friend's engine hoist & engine
stand, and popped out the engine/tranny all by myself, actually went pretty
smoothly.
A few questions for the list:
I followed the step-by-step instructions from the FAQ on Gordon's Garage
(Very Helpful). I didn't have a ground from the Starter and I didn't have a
ground strap. Can someone point me to a picture of these? Or describe
where each attach?
Is it a given to replace the Clutch, Pressure Plate, & Throwout bearing? If
not, how do I know whether or not each needs to be replaced?
Should I do anything to the flywheel?
Next up, dealing with the broken tranny. Thanks for everyone's help -
