John,
A 1600 roadster WEB site is a neat idea.
As to having two separate list... really not a good idea.
I love 1500, 1600, and 2000's. Only time I really get
specific is the U-20 engine, mainly as I have four in
the garage. Two in vehicles, 1.999 spare engines. So
when someone has a U-20 question, it is a simple matter
of looking at the difference.
I still PREFER a 1600 for stop and go driving. For doing
T-S-D rally's, and nice 1600 was fun. A big carb'd solex
is a pain to keep at CAST 22 mph!
For open roads, sweeping turns and "buzzing" around the
lake at 80 mph... er, the 2000 is a blast. Different
feel to them.
Over the years EVERY roadster I have been in contact with
has it's own personalities. Hard to explain but they
all are a little different.
While I have a '67 2000 and a '68 2000, ironically I FIT
better in the '68. Little more comfortable on longer drives
as my leg has a little more room (6'2" @ 275#, I am a bit
more stout than most!).
Bottom line... doesn't matter what roadster you have, JUST
DRIVE IT!
Cheers,

P.S. When I get swamped with work, I just put the mailing
list on 'digest mode' -- then I just 'scan' one long message
a day. When work lightens up, then I go back to normal
message mode. ;-)
