Now how terrible are those ratios. The installation sounds as bad as you can
get without cutting 'glass. 280z 5 speeds have great semi close ratios,
2.96,1.855,1.31,1.,.85 compared to 2.97,2.0,1.396, 1.0. in the Lotus, but is
also a rear shifter. I thought there might be a relative bolt in [adapter
plates, clutch , driveshaft etc]. If the Toyota boxes are that much of a
hassle, maybe I'll see if the Nissan box will fit. They also say there are
intermediate[2.68 1st] and ultra close[1.858 1st] 280z boxes, but they all
have an overdrive 5th.
