What on earth is the rationale for making garage > pits illegal???? > > ... homeowner's association arrived and warned > ... working on his car was against the rules > I was told last week by a neighbor (during a conversations about excess cars parked on the street by another neighbor) that there's a local ordinance (Gwinnett County, GA -- NE Atlanta) against having cars parked in your yard versus your driveway! It sounded as though this was more than the typical "no clunkers" law. I'm sure its target is to make sure you don't own more cars than you own driveway space, but the implications were that you could get a "ticket" for parking in the yard like I do when I clear a path out of the garage for the TR-6. Oh well, maybe one day there'll be a big farm in the country with my name on it... Joe flake@d311510.atl.hp.com |
