Well I turned up to my restoration class last night to find a guy who
was working on his SUs. In addition, the course tutor had also brought
along a splendid selection of SUs of varying sizes. One of them was
simply huge and apparently off a Jag (if my midget ones are HS4s and
my Dad's Triumph ones are HS6s, then these were HS12s!!). Dave (the
tutor) said he was in the process of putting 3 of these on one of his
Healeys - his aim was to get the fuel consumption down to about 8 mpg!
Personally, I think he's also interested in a slight performance
increase - or maybe they do just "look kool".
