> The best thing I've ever found for picking up oil spills is a product called
"Hulled Rice Ash", which is just what it says. This is the most absorbent
stuff I've ever seen, and it's cheap, too. $7 for a giant agricultural-size
sack ( 50 lb? ) at the local ripoff car parts store.

Yes, but I can beat that. New Pig sent me a FREE SAMPLE 20-lb bag of their
oil-dry! And I didn't ask for it, or lie! She asked if I wanted a sample
when I asked abut the stuff after getting the flyer at work. I told her it
was not for the City. She asked what kind of shop it was. I said
"motorsports, mainly Lotus". She asked how many people were working there.
I said "two".

She UPSed it right to the house, no charge! It fills over 3 five-gallon
buckets. Soaks up stuff very well. I think it probably is made from recycled
paper.

I still have not seen the "Hulled Rice Ash" hereabouts. It must be a windfall
of your local agricultural industry.
