I've received a number of responses to my request for help
naming the '72 Roller. I have reviewed the many connotations
of Shadow (for Silver Shadow) and agree that Guardian and Escort
are best left to their current marques.

I liked the concept of a stately old ladies name, after all
she's kind of a prissy old lady well set in her ways, but I find
her sexy in her own way. The handmade grill, the manually stiched
seats, the sheepskin carpeting, the boat-esque body, and the
Virgin wool headliner all add to her appeal for me (not to mention
she cost less than a new Taurus :-)

With all of this criteria in mind, the one suggestion that crossed
my terminal "Lady Chatterly" seemed to fit the best, especially
considering her ability to seduce my check book open.

So with the consent of my family (who still don't understand why
I need cars that leak oil...or why I bother to name them) she
has been christened.

Thanks to all for your help. I will continue to keep you informed
of her true british heritage (I'm pulling the leaky radiator next
month, then rebuilding the SUs, then trying to find the leak in the
exhaust system, then...)

Later.
