How I wish I could have gone last year. The TVR club flew Trevor Wilkinson
over from England. Trevor (TVR, get it?) is the founder of the company, but
left in 1962 and hasn't had anything to do with TVR's since. He hadn't driven
a TVR in over 25 years, until last year! He brought with him some awesome
memorabilia he had from the old days. Since my TVR is his first attempt at
series production, I would have killed for some of this stuff. Also, Ray
Saidel was there with at least one of his Jomars. Ray bought bodyless
TVR's and put his own body on them and called them Jomars. He kept a few
of the few that were made. Since he lives in NJ, he will probably be there
again.
I'm surprised that only 15% of the cars were TVR's. From the newsletter, I got
the impression that there were more than 30 TVRs in attendance.
