I haven't had a chance to try this yet, but
I've been meaning to. There is a company
called Griffin Radiator online at
griffinrad.com that makes custom radiators.
They can make a similar radiator based on the
74 matador coupe, but in two rows of one inch
aluminum. This would be 2 1/4" making it
slightly thicker, but not much, it should fit.
Estimated cost of this aluminum radiator is
$600.
If you want to push your luck, one can be made
that is 2 3/4" thick. The original is 1 7/8"
so that may be a bit of a stretch, measure before
you order.
The guy I talked to when I got the quote was
Ron Shirkus. If anyone decides to do it, let
