 Paul, I would go to a Ford dealer and have them look up a speedo gear for a
ratio rear end that is close to 3.73 and try that.I do not remember what
ratios they had but they have to have something close. A good parts man
should be able to find it. They have charts in their books that list teeth
on the drive and driven gear. Tire size also plays a part in it. Just don't
tell them it's for a Bricklin or they will probably laugh you out of the
store and not even bother to look.
